Samael Grom this is going to make my album of the year list for sure. mathy drums, dizzying riffs, crystal production without sacrificing too much of the black metal feel. really dig the growling too. this combination of stuff on paper shouldn't work but CtB really manages to string these elements together in a truly masterful way. really hope for a vinyl pressing in the future. Favorite track: The Fever Room.

Several years have passed since the release of "The Great Nothing." After much experimentation and self discovery, Cameron returns with "Corpseflower," an album about pain, self-discovery and cautious hope. Blending elements of adult contemporary and black metal, Cicada the Burrower takes the listener on yet another journey through the deepest recesses of Cameron's mind. After coming out as a transgender woman, she meticulously cut 5 tracks of gentle, harrowing violence. "Corpseflower" is an attempt to express those feelings that come with being transgender. Learning who you are and coming to terms with your future.
